YOGA

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India.  Yoga incorporates meditation and breathing which can help improve a person’s mental well-being.  Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration.  Here at The Banyan House you will find  an array of various Yoga practices that will fit your practice level and needs.

Dance

Dance is the  movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself and/or learning.  We offer an array of dance classes ranging from Dance Yoga, Salsa and Belly Dancing.

Meditation

Meditation is a mind and body practice that increasing calmness, physical relaxation, mental clarity, emotional clam and stable state, and enhancing overall health and well-being. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind by focusing on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior.

Martial arts

The Art of Tai Chi is a moving meditation that is less intense that combines slow, deliberate movements, meditation and breathing exercises that look like slow, graceful dances that keep your body in constant motion.  We offer an array of Tai Chi classes, each offering a different type of medication practice.
