Laughing yoga is a modern exercise involving prolonged voluntary laughter. This type of yoga is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides similar physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. It is usually done in groups, with eye contact and lots of playfulness between participants. Intentional laughter often turns into real and contagious laughter.

New mommies will benefit from the yoga practice whether they are new to yoga or have been practicing it. Pregnancy is a special time for connection, not only with your body, but also with your baby. Yoga will release tension and strengthen the physical body as well as enhance and nurture the spirit and emotional state during the months of pregnancy and after birth. Pregnancy will be more peaceful and enjoyable as the body adapts to accommodate the baby. We may use props such as blankets, bolsters and blocks, the wall or help of a chair, to facilitate access to stretch the body and help with balance and harmony. Breath work, modified postures, and some meditation will lessen anxiety and allow the body and mind to feel comfortable and confident with its changes.
